They will know your car because they worked at the dealer for at least 4 years after your car came out. The shop will generally say is specializes in VW/Audi.The flashed performance upgrade will not be lost unless you have an ECM re-call flash done. Which is generally at the dealer only. Even then, the ECM will get damaged and they will have to buy you a new one because the car will not start when there done.We were doing the flashes at the dealer and every now and then the cars wouldn't start afterwards. Come to find out the cars had software mods that we didn't know about. And flashing them with stock ecm flashes burned up the computer.The ECM is left alone during all scheduled maintanence.I measured a downpipe today, I was wrong, it was 2 1/4..sorry...Show more
