Porfirio Gartland: Yeah, there were a lot of complaints from groups supporting the blind and sight impaired. I believe they are adding in generic car engine noises so there's less risk of getting hit by an electric car. Of course having your car sound like a jet engine would be a pretty cool too. Until the novelty wears off anyways.
Toby Caswell: The sound that the space-cars from the Jetsons produce...
Bethanie Menden: a speaker playing " the wheels of the bus go round and round" in a continous loop
Coleman Ocegueda: They should make the sound of Al Gore's voice.
Gregg Hagge: the same- if possible or a sewing machine
Robbie Starchman: They should make the sounds that PacMan makes when he eats lil yellow blocks.
Miguel Koczela: Disco music then everyone would avoid it.
Vernita Robberson: I suggest a Tribble in a squirrel cage under the hood then
Caterina Yeargan: the sounds used on the Flubber car, in The AbsentMinded Profe! ssor (1961)
Lucien Hellerman: The sound they make when they run over someone is probably just as sickening as a normal car.And that is the problem.A car that does not make noise can't be heard by pedestrians. Is that a real problem?Or are you trying to invent a solution to a problem that doesn't exist? When these cars are running at say 50 kph or 30 mph, are they making noise due to the tires and wind?At very low speed these cars are silent. perhaps they need to have a beeper similar to the reversing warning sound of a normal vehicle. That might be pretty annoying.Maybe people aught to take care when they are around motor vehicles....Show more
Michel Mccaulley: I hope people are smart enough to look both ways when crossing the road.
Torri Tippey: they should make a zapping noise like when someone is fried in the electric chair.
Booker Warlick: It should be customizable so you can download "drive tones".
Luther Plagmann: no sound effects at all. i! m sure there will be a slight wooshing sound as it drives by b! ut lights should be enough to warn peds...and of course you always have the horn.but if your looking for a more creative answer a slight beeping that gets louder whenever the pedestrian sensor ( not a real invention ) detects a living creature nearby.or it could sound like rushing wind.
