What is successful lesson teaching plan?

Nannie Kasee: Decide where you might want to teach, and what level of education (elementary, middle school, or high school), and then look it up on a website like salary.com.As a rule, teachers don't make a lot of money. Some districts start their teachers at salaries as low as $25,000, others may star their teachers as high as $38,000. The salary rate varies from region to region, state to state, and even district to district. So, if 400 people answer your questions, you are likely to get 400 different answers. This is where salary.com comes in handy.Generally, private school teachers earn lower salaries than public school teachers, but they often have better working environments and more freedom with curriculum. Private schools often do not require teacher certification or a degree in education. It can be enough to hold a bachelor's degree or higher in your content area (math, chemistry). In areas suffering from a teacher shortage, a four year degree in specific content! areas (usually math, physics, engineering, or chemistry) can earn you a position as a teacher as long as you sign a contract agreeing to earn an education degree in a set amount of time (usually two years).Otherwise, the minimum requirement to teach is an undergraduate degree in education. Some districts will require a master's degree.

Bernadette Roel: It completely depends what area you are in and how much education you have. In an average school district, first year salaries start at around $28,000-$33,000. Of course, richer areas pay more and poorer areas pay less. Certification varies by state. States with higher requirements (PA, CA...) ask you to either get your B.A. in education or major in your subject area and then take at least 2 semesters of grad school in education. States that are desperate for teachers may not even require education certification, so it really depends! In the higher paying areas, you will most likely have to do at least one year of s! ubbing before you will be considered for a "real" teaching job! .

Foster Padgette: Student-centered activities are great. See if you can find a way to get them to figure out the information on their own. Bloom's taxonomy is a good place to start when thinking about lesson plans.

Donte Hamme: Gather your proof and go over her head.

Norma Marsalis: My teacher, who teaches a dental assisting class, is picking favorites and not following policy when it comes to inputting grades and doing what is told of her to do. It is coming to the point where we are conflicting because I feel she needs to be fair with everyone, not just certain students. For example, we have in class assignments that are supposed to be given to people who are there for that day and if they are absent they are given a zero. I was given a zero because I missed a day and another student was given a 100% when she was not there. I told my teacher this and she got defensive and said I was wrong, when in fact it is documented that I was not wrong!! What sho! uld I do?...Show more

Jodie Capella: I love to have the opportunity to speak up! having learnt English as part of the curriculum I can only say that I write much better than I speak, the focus has always been on writing. I regret not being given the chance to speak in a free and comfortable environment. I can see that you are a sincere person. Not many ESL teachers have the patience and passion to ask a question like this for a group of Chinese students. You have my respect!

Monroe Rainey: I use a five step methodObjectives - tell the students what the goal of the lesson isDiscovery - find out what the students know already. if they know little about the objective topics then continue to teach, if they know a lot, perhaps only a review is needed. this step will help make the lesson more effective. Perhaps you can find out what the students will relate to well for examples as well.Teaching/Learning - the bulk of the lesson, you teach, the student should learn.! Application - activities where the students must apply the knew knowled! ge gained from the Teaching/Learning step.Evaluation - where the Objectives met? If so the lesson is complete, if not then going back a few steps to re-teach/learn and apply can be used to finish the lesson....Show more

Marya Fehn: that depend of what you teaching!

Miguel Densley: Make it fun use some humor they will really like it and make sure you dont give too much homework or else they wont do it!

Willetta Munhall: The following link has a good lesson planner - it includes IT resources, but you needn't include that if it isn't necessary. I found it by accident on the internet and included it (filled out) with my actual lesson plan for an observed lesson. It helped me to achieve a '1' grade, because it was included. It makes you focus on what you actually want your students to learn in your lesson.http://www.ncrtec.org/tl/lp(alternatively, type in NCRETC Lesson planner into a search engine).Hope this helps....Show more

Codi Manchel: Fun and easy! to learn

Verdie Wollen: Be passionate about what you are teaching. Make it fun. Tell stories. Use analogies. Be different.

Cecil Derenzi: I share the Learning Intention at the beginning of the lesson.......it is usually a sentence that states something like....We are learning to identify the place value of 3 digit numbers...(for example)Then....I'd have five or ten minutes teaching the children about place valueThen I would give children little maths games where they can consolidate what I've taught them...During this time...I would have small groups of children who I know would struggle with the topics....To end the lesson I would bring the class back to the mat to recap what we have learnt...Keep it fun...make sure the children know what they are supposed to be learning and that they are not guessing what is in your head.......Show more

Stanton Degregorio:

Manual Burtis: are class gets 5 star notebooks and everything we do is either done in that ! or glued in and everday we had a question on the bord and we would writ! e it down and answer it after we were all done we would discuss the question then move on with are lesson plan. we also had a table of contents and things called notebook checks where we made shure everything was in order. at the end of a lesson (each day) we would get lesson reviews and then we would have tests on each chapter of the subject we were learning. the lesson would be one day wich consisted of the chapter. at the end of the chapters on that one subject in oiur textbooks we would get a whole lesson review(every chapter of the month about that one subject) and we would study it that night along with all the pages of the subject in our notebook. IT WAS SO MUCH EASIER ON US!!!...Show more

Javier Holsonback: about 0 dollars

Kizzy Hett: which was harder: your career as a school counselor or the courses you took to become a counselor? I just want opinions... The difficulty of each compared to each other (not including the things that usually go with a care! er, bills, etc.)

Dexter Dingus: starting salary for most teachers is around $30,000-$40,000 (for a bachelor's degree from a four year university) Most schools have scales where you move up depending on how many years you've been teaching and how much education you've had. Also, in most states you have about five years after you've started teaching to get your master's degree...even if you got a bachelor's in education. The minimum amount of time would be a 4 year university program.

Erin Arron: Depends. When its younger kids, give them stuff that will teach them, but also lets them do something like coloring or working with their hands. With older kids, you have to keep them busy and give them opportunities to work with their friends.

Rena Pepe: I like to start with the end in mind... Ask yourself what you want the class to take with them after the lesson. This helps simplify your lessons and you can expand on more specific concepts! This also makes incorpor! ating hands on activities easier because they will be more focused. Goo! d Luck!

Susan Rambo: The schooling was definitely harder. Once in the job; dealing with the politics and the emotional students was much easier for me to cope with.

August Hubbard: they usually start between 30 and 40 thousand a year.. a lot of places are starting to expect teachers to have their masters degree now, so it could take in excess of 6 years after high school.. hardly seems worth it..

Vita Moodie: Well, the thing that will keep them alive and awake is if its FUN. Like my former school language arts teacher loved SpongeBob so she used some episodes as examples for like the plot, important events, and concusion.. stuff like that. And people in our class suddenly got interested. good luck. =]
