Pam Rampadarat: i hated high school when i started in august so i transfered to an online school and i love it.
Long Woltjer: I'm just a parent so you may not want my response my son is not old enough to answer. We travel about 90 min. a week for a large home school group that has dances. I'm looking forward to the group expanding. He'll also be doing americorp in the summers of high school. I'm planing on letting him and for of his friends go on a month long cross country trip during junior year. I would like him to go on working holiday when he gets older but we'll see. Get the requirements for your prospective college degree and entrance requirements. Look into what classes you need and want. and present the whole thing to your parents....Show more
Josefine Weekey: I'm home-schooled and I don't feel as if I'm missing out on anything. Some cover schools or "Umbrella schools" offer classes, field trips, social events, and extra curricular activities. Several ! states offer state wide proms, so you wouldn't really be missing out on that if the cover school doesn't offer a prom. Since you are in 11th grade, I believe that you would be able to do most of your learning by yourself. There are alot of textbooks that have "video professors" that would be like the lecture, then you go and do the work by yourself. Also, teachers books make it to where mom and dad don't have to do much thinking. I highly suggest homeschooling, not simply because I'm biased....Show more
Alvaro Oare: I go to an online school. It's for my entire state. It's like a mix of homeschooling and public schooling. It's amazing. I don't feel like I'm missing anything. If you're good at working a computer, or even okay at it I would definitly recomend it because you get taught by good teachers but you also get to study whenever you want. They have some things that if you want you can go to the main building and do the activities, but only if you have a way to g! et there and stuff. I'm not sure if theres one in every state ! or not, but you should look into it, and all of you're options before making a decision....Show more
Eleni Mccier: i missed out on my hole high school life. I regret
Malcom Fenoff: Just explain to your parents how you feel and I am sure that they will understand and remember all parents only want what is best for their child :) x
Woodrow Neyman: My children do feel like they are missing out on prom but not senior trips. I can take them on the trips myself! If you are feeling like you are not accomplishing anything maybe you should be home schooled. Just tell your parents your problem and they WILL listen....Show more
