Simpson's Trivia Game??

Hilma Pestano: 1. Jay 2. Sarah 3. ? 4. ? 5. Hershel Krustovsky 6. Armen Tanzarian (legally changed his name to Seymour Skinner) 7. Edna 8. ? 9. Evergreen Terrace 10. The Tracey Ullman Show 11. Hit by a t-shirt ("no foot longs") 12. ? 13. To suppress his hatred for his beatnik parents.

Ardell Luy: A card-based trivia game made by Cardinal Industries. It comes in a nice tin box adorned with Simpsons characters and loaded with goodies:200 trivia cards. (with five different levels of difficulty)25 character cards. (5 each of: Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, Maggie) 2 posters. (Character poster and silhouette poster)1 numbered list of characters. (coincides with the silhouette poster)1 six sided dieGameplay is pretty simple. First, you have to select the difficulty level you're going to play on. Each player can have a different difficulty level, but if the rest of the players think you've chose to low they can force you to play a higher level. Here's some sample questions to s! how the difficulty levels: What does Homer do with the Stonecutter's sacred parchment? Make a paper airplane, use it as a napkin, or flushes it? According to Bart what does Jessica Lovejoy's hair smell like? Red Fruitloops, Cherry Cola, or Orange Slices? What is the name of the Capital City mascot? In "Bart's Girlfriend", Dr. Hibbert confesses that he left his Porsche keys where? In "Fear of Flying", what is the pilot's lounge at the Springfield airport called? After selecting your difficulty level, you go around in a circle asking the trivia questions. If you get the answer right, you keep the trivia card. When you have three trivia cards, you can attempt to get a character card from the stack. Now, the process of getting a character card is when the rules get slightly confusing.Choice APull a character a character from the stack and roll the die to see which game to play: Show Highlights: (charades) There are three choices: Simpsons character, chalkboard saying, or show t! itle. The player announces which it is and then acts it out. (! No Talking!) The player that correctly get's it right then recieves two trivia cards, and the current player keeps the character card. Chalkboard Art: (win, lose, or draw) There are three choices: Simpsons character, Homer's favorite foods, or a Krusty product. The player announces the category, and proceeds to draw the object. The player that gets it right then recieves two trivia cards, and the current player keeps the character card. Ask Principal Skinner: (twenty questions) The current play takes three trivia cards from the deck. The person to the left of the player chooses a charcter off of the character poster (without anyone else seeing it!). The current player may ask 6 yes or no questions, and has to give up a trivia card for every 2 questions. The current player may identify the character by name or by pointing to him/her/it on the poster. If the current player loses the character card game, the character card goes back to the bottom of the deck.Choice BThe curren! t player can trade his three trivia cards with opposing player for one of the opposing player's character card. (current player's choice) The opposing player doesn't get a say in the matter. The current character then rolls the die to see which of the "character game" to play. (Show Highlights, Chalkboard Art, or Ask Principal Skinner. The difference here is: if the current player loses the character game, he/she does not get to keep the three trivia cards, and the opposing player gets to keep the trivia cards and gets his/her character card back.Exception to Choice A & BIf the character card would complete the current player's set of 5, he/she does not play a character game. Instead the current player must answer 2 out of 3 trivia cards correctly. If so, he/she gets the character card and wins the game.Whew. Ok, that's how the game is played, and here's what I say: Screw the rules. They make the game slow and confusing. Here's my rules: Get beer. Ask each other trivia card! s. Geek out. Repeat. The game costs about $15, which isn't that bad. Al! so, the metal box it comes in isn't really to sturdy, and dents easily....Show more
