period almost 3 months late!!HELP!?

Kristina Brockwell: Hormonal birth control can play havoc with your periods once you stop. You may want to take a high quality prenatal vitamin and mineral, usually found at a health food store to help boost the minerals in your body. You can learn about tracking your personal ovulation pattern on the websites below. Best, G

Jonelle Eligio: Your doctor is an idiot. Does she know ANYTHING about women's health? It is not normal to not have a bleed for 3 months when you come off the pill. You'll probably find that something is wrong, and that the pill was masking the symptoms of it. ie. iregular periods. It took me 2 yrs TTC after coming off the pill, because I have polycystic ovaries. The symptoms first presented when i was 16, but my doctor just double checked i wasn't pregnant and then put me on the pill. 10 years later, i get told i have PCOS. only a few months later with minimal assistance, i got pregnant. Easy.Tell your Dr to investigate now!! Don't wait like i did! . Two years of my baby making years gone!!!...Show more

Nelly Kikuchi: I went off the pill in dec 06 got 3 periods then didn't get a period for 9 months then got a period and then fell pregnant, unfortunately i had a missed miscarriage on feb 25 08 and went and had a d&c on march 1st then didn't get my first period till august but im back on track now with regular periods, i would suggest talking to your doctor some more some women just have trouble with periods when coming off birth control or it could be something else like maybe weight or something...Show more

Keneth Mailhot: Not getting your period with a negative pregnancy test means that you did not ovulate. This is normal after stopping the pill, but if it takes much longer you should see your doctor.

Malissa Porth: Not every woman has normal periods. I am lucky if I have 2 or 3 a year. It is just something that happens to some woman especially if you are stressed, or have lost a lot of weight or if ! you are exercising more than your used to. You are probably ab! solutely fine but you just start going to the ob/gyn once a year at your age anyway. Go in for a check up.
