The words comics (in English), muñequitos (in Spanish), monos (also in Spanish) and monitos (still in Spanish) are in the singular or plural?

Rona Espalin: "A unity of comics" does not make sense in English. In the US traditionally you had comic books. A story in a comic book was just called a story. Then you had comic strips in newspapers, sometimes collectively called "the comics" but "a comic" referred to a comic book. There are so many formats today that some people may use the terms differently but those are the basic old-fashioned terms.

Jess Grizzel: Addiction (thanks!): Equally, I know the Spanish names as muñequitos, monos and monitos (also in the singular same), there is still the spellings historieta, cómic and cómico.
