Religions are philosophies yet philosophies aren't religions. Civilizations have come and gone and left nothing we can figure out that was either a philosophy or a religion associated with them. Go back 5,000 years and take the druids for example. We know they built stonehenge and that they celebrated life, death, planting and harvest. But what else? Where do we need to go to be a part of what we actually want to believe in? If we find it, is that a philosophy? I can't answer your question. What is most certainly good for me is not going to be good for you or is it. How about this then "never stop learning" can you g! rasp all that it entails and can do for someone who is in the midst of needing a change? Or, "the gift of life is love" finding it is everyone's problem though. If one philosophy is meant to be "the one", the philosophy to change the world... Would it not be then: to err is human to forgive divine? No that isn't good enough either.... How about: it is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all? No again..... You by the simple and easy task of studying and learning the philosophies handed down over the ages can then through your own education and dedication to it, make your own distinction and tell us what philosophy is a good philosophy....Show more
